Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia: Birthplace Of The American Revolution
Birthplace Of The American Revolution
Founded in 1699 as the capital of the British colony of Virginia, Williamsburg would go on to become the cradle of independence for the new American nation.
British Colonial Governor's Residence
Governor's Gardens
As the representative of the British Empire, the Governor lived in the most splendid residence in the colony, although it was much smaller than his home back in Britain.
Today Colonial Williamsburg is glimpse into the past that is sure to please any visitor. Many of the original homes and other buildings remain and are well preserved. They offer insight into the style of colonial life that must have been good for the upper crust of the time.
For those that had to work in the kitchens however, life would have been anything but pleasant.
Colonial Kitchen
Around the town, visitor's will find many people in period dress working in the same occupations, using the same tools and methods as would have been used in colonial times.

A visit to Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia is a step back in time and a chance to learn about colonial life and the birth of the American Revolution.

FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY
The definition of a "Fine Art" image is often debated in terms of what is and is not a fine art. Is it abstract, high or low key, selective focus, subject genre or any other number of criteria? I think the term Fine Art is subjective and lies in the mind of the artist and the eye of the beholder.
I've created a gallery with some of my contributions to the debate. I hope you enjoy these images of various subject types that exhibit what I consider to be "Fine Art".
